This position is responsible for providing support to the leadership team and employees at the site.  This position is available for a qualified individual with proven maintenance skills.  The position will assist in maintaining equipment and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.  Responsibilities are to include; conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and assisting with other projects as assigned.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:             

  • Responsible for providing maintenance support in all production areas.  These departments include, but are not limited to, mixing, processing, filling, downline packaging, and warehouse areas
  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor to develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs and procedures to reduce mechanical downtime and to ensure that breakdown and repairs are minimized
  • Maintains communications (oral and written) within maintenance / production team ensuring smooth shift transitions, etc. accurately preparing and maintaining all area paperwork
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment.
  • Support mechanics in appropriate maintenance activities.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Executes the preventive maintenance program as directed by manager
  • Works with management to ensure effective organizational design and roles are correctly organized, defined, documented and communicated to all employees.
  • Ensures effective safety procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through site leadership.
  • Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required. 

 
Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance work with other trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing) for job continuity is preferred.
