Essential Functions
- Leads and guides staff in accomplishing work objectives within the unit(s). Coaches, motivates, rewards and recognizes subordinates. Sets clear goals and objectives, sets performance expectations and holds employees accountable for achieving results.
- Recommends and implements facilities related policies, procedures and work standards, and determines priorities that are of a significant scope.
- Provides leadership, oversight, and guidance for renovation and construction projects.
- Oversees the electrical, mechanical, and facility related expertise; monitors facilities for maintenance and repair needs; and ensures systems are operating to meet corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Oversees the management of the storage, inventory, and distribution area to ensure it is well managed to effectively meet the needs of the company.
- Manages the safety, regulatory, environmental, community, and governmental issues to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting the physical assets.
- Ensures proper preventative maintenance initiatives are in place, including heating, air conditioning, and management of maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Functions as a liaison for the organizational stakeholders to ensure vendor relations are strong and functioning well. Utilizes vendor data metrics to track and measure vendor performance to ensure vendor performance achieves planned outcomes based on business case.
- Collaborates with Director and organizational leadership to influence change and ensure the facility strategy supports corporate business initiatives.
- Reviews and assists the development of plan specifications and safety requirements for repair and/or remodeling of facilities to ensure conformance with safety requirements, building codes, etc.
- Ensures contract documents are complete, accurate, legally and organizationally compliant, meet state-specific requirements, and meet contract specifications. Oversees and monitors contract compliance, contract modifications, and change order request implementation.
