Family Services Unit Supervisor

Washburn County is seeking applicants for the Family Services Unit Supervisor within the Health and Human Services Department. This Supervisor position provides program and personnel supervision to social workers serving Child Protection, Juvenile Justice and foster care populations. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring best practice models are implemented; collaborates with local and State agencies in order to carry out our mission; assures compliance with state and federal laws, administrative rules and policies; and maintains and reports on program data. Considerable independent judgment, discretion and boundaries are required in working with families, providers, and community agencies. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or closely related degree and five years of child welfare experience required; Masters in Social Work, five years in county child welfare and previous supervision of program and staff preferred; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Position requires Social Work Certification within 2 years and possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license. Compensation commensurate with experience and includes excellent benefit package.
