BSC Foundation - Development Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Responsible for the management, solicitation, stewardship and expansion of fundraising activities; managing and implementing fundraising campaigns and special fundraising projects.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related experience.
• Demonstrated experience of successful fundraising or similar sales experience and building and maintaining relationship-based programs.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, implement, and expand a comprehensive fundraising plan.
• Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative and work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to handle multiple activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse population, including donors and prospective donors located throughout the U.S.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Demonstrated high integrity and ethical behavior.
• Ability to influence and establish credibility with others.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to establish collaborative endeavors, relationships and alliances.
• Excellent computer software skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and electronic calendar (Outlook) and excellent keyboarding skills.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills and strong listening skills.
• Must be willing to travel, attend evening and weekend events and meetings. 
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Appropriate master’s degree.
  • More than five years of directly related experience.
  • Excellent fundraising experience, especially in capital campaigns, major gifts and planned giving.
  • Experience using Donor Perfect and Crescendo software.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
