Gillette is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join the care team in the Alexandria and Willmar areas of MN. 

 

In a highly independent role, the practitioner will manage the physical medicine and rehabilitation needs of children and adults in our greater MN clinics (Alexandria and Willmar areas) by providing clinical care to patients in a family-centered model with complex acute, critical and chronic health care conditions.  This role advises patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provides skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families. This position also delivers comprehensive patient care which maximizes outcomes in a manner consistent with the Gillette’s mission, models of care and in accordance with professional practice standards. In collaboration with the physician(s), advanced practice practitioners and managers, this provider assesses, plans, and implements the evaluation and follow-up of patient care. This role incorporates direct patient care, consultation, research, education and leadership into their work.

This position is a .8 FTE.  Hours/Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm along with some Fridays.

Ideal candidates for this position will have a current RN license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license through the Minnesota Board of Nursing, will have completed of a nurse practitioner program with a Master of Nursing Degree or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, has a current national certification from one of the following: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Credentialing Center, Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, current CPR- BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association , demonstrated skill in interpersonal communication, organizational and leadership skills, the ability to function independently and  demonstrated competence in working with infants, children, adolescents with disabilities and their families.
