We are hiring a Quality Control Technician to work on various projects located in New Mexico. Qualified applicants should have, or be able to quickly gain competence with asphaltic concrete, aggregate base course, roadway subbase, and crusher control testing.

POSITION SCOPE:

The Construction Materials Testing Technician will sample and test asphaltic concrete, aggregate base course, soils and aggregates produced during crushing operations on various projects located throughout New Mexico. Previous experience, and TTCP certification is preferred, but not required. The position requires extensive travel during the week and flexible scheduling for overtime and night/weekend shifts. Per diem, company vehicle and company phone are provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Accurately follow established testing procedures.
• Collect material samples.
• Routinely lift samples that weigh up to 65 pounds.
• Reduce samples to testing size.
• Accurately weigh samples/materials.
• Enter test data into established reporting formats.

COMPETENCIES:

• Detail-oriented.
• Proficient math and computer skills.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Ability to simultaneously work well with others.

BACKGROUND :

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
