This Office Manager position plans, coordinates and manages the day-to-day activities of the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership (SNHL) within the confines of established policy. This position exists to provide budgetary and office management services to insure a smooth and efficient work flow.
Duties will include:
- Coordinate the recruitment and admission process for the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership programs.
- Provide administrative assistance to the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership (SNHL) Chair and oversee daily operation of the SNHL.
- To oversee all aspects of the acquisition, distribution and reconciliation of department budget funds in accordance with departmental, university, and Minnesota State policy.
- Provide for, and insure, efficient student support staff for the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership.
- Manage functions related to Scholarship programs for the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership.
- Manage and maintain files and information for evaluation reports and accreditation purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Math skills sufficient to add, subtract, calculate cost.
- Typing/Keyboarding/Word Processing skills sufficient to use software such as Microsoft Word, Access and Excel to create, format, edit, print & save a variety of documents.
- Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence
- Lead Work Skills sufficient to train and guide the work assignments of student workers.
- Accounting/budgeting/expense reporting skills sufficient to monitor and balance multiple budgets to ensure that spending is within budget guidelines.
- Data entry skills sufficient to accurately enter sensitive technical data into government systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in higher education.

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
