    • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Population Health Analyst, under the direction of the Director of Population Health, along with a cross-functional team, identifies and operationalizes opportunities for clinical and financial gains to maximize clinical outcomes for inpatient and outpatient populations, with the primary focus on outpatient. The Analyst collaborates closely with Clinicians, IT, Billing, Clinical Operations and Finance to evaluate and redesign workflows. Plays a key role supporting the organization's population health initiatives related to quality and value-based payment programs by developing decision support tools, standardized processes, models and analytics as may be required. Provides expertise related to identifying what data is required, retrieving the data from multiple systems, and displaying the data for decision makers in varying usable formats.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or related field.
      • Experience: One (1) year analytics, health care operations or finance experience.
      • Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: N/A
      • Experience: Two (2) years analytics, health care operations or finance experience. Experience working with Tableau. Experience with visualization/analytics platforms.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn. Experience with data visualization, extraction and BI reporting. Comfortable with billing, claim, and outside data files. A self-starter with critical thinking skills. Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to lead and prioritize complex projects to meet department objectives and deadlines. Strong technical and quantitative skills. Expert problem solving skills, attention to detail, working against deadlines and communicating status of project, and natural curiosity and drive towards understanding the health trends of a population. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
      • WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
      • SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
      • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
      • REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
