The Sales Engineer for the Vision SF50 will be part of the Sales and Marketing team responsible for integrating the Vision SF50 Product into the Cirrus Aircraft sales and marketing processes. The Sales Engineer will be the primary technical resource for field sales force and marketing including technical analyses, competitive analyses, and sales proposal responses. Direct interface with customers is required.

Essential Duties:
  • Must have a connection to and awareness of market needs and pilot feature desires, including technology trends, to prepare marketing and sales messages in support of the features on the Vision SF50.
  • Must be technically savvy in relation to competitive aircraft and/or other gadget, technology trends to prepare competitive comparisons used in the sales process and company decision making.
  • Adhere to project timelines, budget, and scope.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales support, customer question responses, and generation of customer specific sales material.
  • Provide market and feature guidance to product development teams.
  • Have an understanding of aircraft finance procedures.
  • Create sales tools to help the sales team describe the value proposition for the Vision SF50 in business use.
  • Provide turbine operational expertise to customers and sales team. Education and/or Experience:
  • Private pilot certificate with instrument rating minimum, commercial certificate with instrument rating and certified flight instructor preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Aviation Business, Engineering or related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 3+ years experience in the aerospace field in sales support, marketing, flight operations or services.
  • Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Experience in customer interactions is an advantage
  • Knowledge in performance, regulations, operations of turboprop and light jets.
  • Computer skills with the ability to learn customer databases, MS Work, Excel, Access, Adobe, PowerPoint and Keynote.
