Job Details
The Grand Forks Herald is hiring a full-time Circulation Dockworker to prepare the dock area for the nightly press run. Hours for this position are 11:00pm to 5:30am. Primary duties include:
- Distribute truck manifest
- Distribution of city bundle labels
- Contact regional drivers if they do not arrive
- Assist regional drivers in loading papers
- Communicate with the mailroom about any issues with the bundles
- Sort regional mail to correct drivers
- Assist with stacking of papers in the distribution center and handing out the papers to carriers
- Complete daily log report
- Delivery of school bundles as well as in-house bundles downtown.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work various shifts including over night and weekends.
- Ability to work well with a team, detail oriented.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 30lb newspaper bundles.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is insurable by the company.
