Job Details
Full-time 40 hrs per week, Monday -Friday. Hours are generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm M-F. Flexibility of hours to complete work assignments may be necessary.
This position will carry out the administration of the Jamestown Campus purchasing program in accordance with current Eventide strategies and as directed for all departments of the campus including Nursing, Dietary, and Laundry. The position will provide support to the Director of Facilities & Support Services as directed. Applicant must possess a friendly outgoing attitude with excellent organizational skills. Experience with a variety of computer programs, and excellent customer service skills are necessary.
Responsibilities include:
Purchasing
- Build good working relationships with Vendors. Communicate appropriate information in a timely manner.
- Participate in planning and coordination of procurement programs and activities as directed. Contribute in areas of expertise.
- Monitor and continuously monitor key indicators and report variances to the Director.
- Maintain a library of applicable reference materials, including manuals, standards, and regulatory documents.
Materials Management
- Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate supplies are available as needed at the best price negotiated.
- Conduct inventory audits on a regular basis and use quality activities to receive reimbursement for damaged or missing supplies.
- Follow replacement guidelines for necessary equipment and supplies for highest quality resident service.
- Develop and administer a best practice for the review, approval, and filling of requisitions for both routine and other needs.
- Maintain organized and efficient paperwork/document flow as required to maintain compliance and easy retrieval of information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
