JOB SUMMARY

Assists nursing personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Performs under the supervision of a RN or LPN. May require certification in some locations. Assists patients in daily living tasks such as hygiene, dressing, feeding, positioning, exercising, etc. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays and provide for between-meal nourishment. Transfers patients in and out of bed or wheelchair using proper tools when necessary. Assist patients with ambulation and mobility. Maintains stock of medical supplies needed for registered nurse or physician. Complies with all patient duties assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Incentive Dollars Available!
12 hours shifts: 7:00am-7:30pm or/and 7:00pm-7:30am - rotating every other weekend and holiday.
Potential to float to ER & Med Surgical Floor.
Full time; 72 hours every 2 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required CNA certification with the SD Board of Nursing. OR, one must become a SD Certified CNA within 4 months of date in the position by being currently enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement (CNA training and certification is provided by facility). High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum age 16. When applicable, may need a valid Driver's License.
