JOB GOAL: Responsible for the administration, management, and coordination of the District’s human resource software, systems, and projects. This position will work collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Human Resources to support staff and to ensure data integrity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. As directed, review, enter and update payroll, experience, certification, training, education and contract status in the Human Resources database (Skyward); produce reports; prepare necessary documents for payroll.

B. Work with potential and current employees to ensure proper documentation is on file for consideration in the employment process and for maintaining employment.

C. Support the online application and staff absence database systems including maintaining and updating user accounts; support users of the system.

D. Maintain and analyze data regarding staff evaluations, evaluation cycles, and performance pay systems; communicate regarding the same with staff.

E. Process employee intakes, transfers, leaves of absence, retirements, resignations, terminations, layoff and recall. Process leaves of absence paperwork. Process FMLA paperwork as required. Communicate with employees on leave of absence as needed.

F. Create and maintain personnel files and I9 files.

G. Participate in staff interviews as needed.

H. Provide back-up office support to department.

I. Assist with the development of offer letters, contracts, addendums, and letters of intent for all staff and paperwork related thereto.

J. Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information.

K. Ensure compliance with District policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local regulations including, FOIA, Wage and Hour, EEOC, FMLA, employment; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions.

L. Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; communicating, to stakeholders, as directed.

M. Protect the District by keeping information confidential.

N. Update job knowledge by participating in professional development and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

O. Enhance department and District reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

P. Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in positive, supportive, and cooperative ways.

Q. Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED: Associate’s degree or equivalent with related academic major in Human Resources.

DESIRED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any academic major. Three+ years of experience as a human resource analyst/generalist.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).
