Job Details

The Weekend Supervisor plans, coordinates and participates in all activities of operation and reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. The work schedule for this position is Friday through Monday working a ten hour shift.

Essential Duties:
  • Sets a standard of teamwork in assigned area.
  • Coaches and guides employees.
  • Set plans for improvement, increase production, overcome obstacles, and achieve on time delivery with zero defects to internal customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels to meet goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Continually strives for process improvement, cost reduction, and labor hour reduction in assigned area.
  • Works to reduce scrap and NCR's, stay within guidelines for overtime and monitor absenteeism, including disciplinary actions.
  • Sets and maintains a cultural standard for safety expectations, in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations throughout the shop.
  • Properly reports monthly metrics in a timely manner.
  • Place and approve requisitions for replacement tools, material, and equipment.
  • Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Applies the 6S principle.
  • Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.
  • Complies with all paperwork that governs job duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate designee.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Cirrus Design's manufacturing processes preferred.
