This is for two (2) positions located at Mapleton Public School in Mapleton, ND.

Term: Shifts hours of 3:00pm to 6:00pm
Department: 21st Century Community Learning Center
Reports to: Head Teacher and Program Coordinator
Salary Range: $15.54 - $22.85 per hour
Benefits: TFFR will be paid by the employee/employer for certified employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a part-time position working in the South East Eduation Cooperative (SEEC) afterschool program. Supports the overall goals, objective and strategies of the South East Education Cooperative. Responsible to represent the SEEC in a positive way to staff and member schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be responsible for working with students in grades K - 6 in groups of up to 20 students (1/20 ratio).
Will be responsible for teaching academic subjects as well as enrichment classes.
Will implement lesson plans created by the Head Teacher.
Monitor the behavior and attention of the students. Report discipline problems to the Head Teacher or Program Coordinator.
Make certain the classroom is clean and straightened at the end of the day.
Attend monthly communication meetings with site staff.
Provide supervision of the students when they arrive and leave at the end of the program.
Develop rapport with school staff and parents.
Promote 21st Century Programs to parents and community members.
May work with the site coordinator and other afterschool teachers in planning the monthly and daily activities calendar.
May prepare daily lesson plans that are aligned to state standards/CCSS and curriculum alignment.
May be responsible to secure from the school all materials and supplies needed for daily classes.
May be responsible to accurately complete required weekly, daily and monthly paperwork.
May be responsible to conduct monthly communication meetings with afterschool teachers, support staff and building principal at your site.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Could be responsible for supervising assigned staff working in the program.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Preference given to Bachelor's degree in education or current ND Educator's license.
Pass background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds such as to lift files and paper.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people. Position demands meeting deadlines and frequently working irregular or extended hours.
