This posting is for one position at Washington Elementary in Jamestown, ND.

Term: 10-15 hours a week; shift hours of 3:00pm to 6:00pm
Department: 21st Century Community Learning Center
Reports to: Head Teacher and Program Coordinator
Salary Range: $9.27 - $13.59 per hour
Benefits: TFFR will be paid by the employee/employer for certified employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a part-time position working in the South East Education Cooperative afterschool program. Supports the overall goals, objective and strategies of the South East Education Cooperative. Responsible to represent the SEEC in a positive way to staff and member schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be responsible for working with students in grades K - 6.
Assisting with teaching academic subjects as well as enrichment classes.
Provide assistance when needed to students with their homework with the goal being for them to be able to complete the work on their own
Manage the sign out area for students and communicating with parents for safety and security of all program participants.
Complete paperwork as assigned and directed by the Head Teacher in a timely manner.
Monitor the behavior and attention of the students. Ability to handle the situation and report discipline problems to the Head Teacher.
Ensure the classroom is clean and straightened at the end of the day.
Provide supervision of the students throughout the day and especially when they arrive and leave at the end of the program day.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
NOTE: A educator license is NOT required for this position.

None

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Preference given to prior experience working with school aged children.
Pass background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds such as to lift files and paper.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people. Position demands meeting deadlines and frequently working irregular or extended hours.
