Job Information
- Must be able to interpret BOM's and schematics from engineering with minimum guidance to put into user-friendly format for customer use.
- Must understand sequence of builds as well as graphically represent parts that are described on word drawings - i.e. able to illustrate a part when no dimensions are provided
Role & Responsibility
- Graphically present all parts of each product for customer interpolation.
- Accurately reflect the equipment and its parts content within manuals.
- Keep illustrations current for assigned products.
- Design decals as required for new and updated products.
- Maintain BOM for each products literature requirements.
- Design, develop and release all illustrator materials within the engineering change (EC) process.
- Maintain competence in software utilized to develop and publish all materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, designers and others as necessary to develop and maintain illustrations.
- Produce and check manuals for completeness, correctness and compliance with Portable Power Technical Publication standards
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with team members within Engineering and from other departments (Manufacturing, Marketing, Purchasing, etc.)
- Integrate their input to ensure documentation success.
- Provide technical support to other departments such as Assembly, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality Assurance, etc. as requested.
- Demonstrate understanding of product function fundamentals at both component and system levels.
- Prepare drawings, Engineering Changes, and SAO releases consistent with Engineering Dept. Procedures and Work Instructions.
Job Requirement
- Demonstrated proficiency of illustration skills on Arbortext IsoDraw (version7 or higher).
- Familiar with the following software: Pro-E, Corel and/or Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience in construction Equipment documentation or related field.
- Proficient in BOM creation and modification.
- Familiar with safety/warning decal creation and usage.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of ISO symbols
- Demonstrated Knowledge of Tech Pub Standards and Procedures, Information Security Standards and ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions.
- PC Skills, Excel, Oracle, Power Point
- Engineering-General - Associates Degree, Allow Equivalent
- 10>15 years of experience
- 10+ years of experience

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
