The focus of the Audit Report Writer position will be writing governmental audit reports with the opportunity to assist in other industries throughout the year.

 

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Audit Report Writer with Eide Bailly might include the following:

• Creating compelling report content following applicable standards, using audit findings and data, to support the final audit report which will be reviewed first by the partner and manager and lastly by the client
• Asking the critical questions of audit teams to move through the report writing process
• Developing strong supporting materials to be included in the audit binder that complements final audit reports
• Communicating closely with managers and partners to plan and review report delivery timelines
• Collaborating across the firm to manage the audit report creation process; including interacting with staff at all levels within the audit function

 

Who You Are

• You have excellent communication skills - written & verbal, and are able to work with staff at all levels
• You have robust writing/editing skills
• You are familiar with the public accounting audit process (former public accounting auditing experience is preferred) and have written an audit report previously
• You have familiarity with the governmental industry and the GASB standards
• You are highly organized and have a strong appreciation for details
• You are an exceptional multi-tasker; you enjoy working on multiple projects and always meet deadlines
• You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities
• You're proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages
• You have experience working with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement audit software (preferred)
• In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA is a plus!) with 2-4 years of experience in public accounting audit 
• Please note, this position does not require travel

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
