JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the clerical, administrative, and financial support of the gift shop, including recording and balancing daily receipts, making bank deposits, account for the financial transactions and preparation of financial reports. Provides inventory support including creation and transmission of purchase orders to Supply Chain Management and to vendors as well as ordering and maintaining office materials and supplies. Would work with vendors, Accounts Payable and Supply Chain Management to process and document damage claims and invoice discrepancies. Responsible to review and submit vendor invoices in a timely manner and maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Responsible for processing and maintaining the payroll deduction functions in an efficient and timely manner. Would work with the volunteers to maintain a volunteer schedule for the gift shop. Would be responsible for the receiving, inputting and restocking of merchandise. Duties may include assisting leadership with product selection and ordering of merchandise.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to order, display, and keep balanced inventory of all merchandise. Experience and working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word. Should possess good business sense, management skills, verbal skills, and writing skills. Must be able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills. Should possess good business sense, management skills, verbal skills and writing skills. Must be enthusiastic and be sincerely interested in promoting Sanford Health System. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Responsible for selling merchandise, cashier and inventory management of the gift shop. Duties can include opening, closing, ringing up sales purchases, handling money, assisting customers, merchandise stocking and keeping gift shop clean. Would also include selling and buying stamps, working with employee charges, operating the fax machine, CD player, and fulfilling internet and phone orders. Operates helium tank.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED Required. Experience in retail. Should have thorough knowledge of bookkeeping, record keeping, and ability towork with volunteers. Experience with computers and point of sale systems. Experience in retail sales.
