St Croix Inn Hotel/Resort in Solon Springs WI ( 20 minutes S of Superior/Duluth) is looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee the operations, under direct coordination with the General Manager. We are a busy year round Hotel/Resort on Lake St Croix, which is a busy year round recreational area. Experience would be helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. We want someone who can work affectively with the General Manager and is willing to work some nights and weekends. We have a hotel, Lakeside wedding venue, banquet event room for up to 250, bar/lounge with a deck overlooking the lake and a community indoor pool that is well used. We are a very active, smaller, energetic community and we are looking for the right friendly, hardworking individual to fit our well established team, community, and who enjoys visiting with guests from all over the country. We are excited about the opportunity for continued growth and we would like someone willing to assist with that future growth.

The Hotel Assistant Manager is responsible for assuring high quality services through management/leadership of the front desk, floor management of the entire hotel premise, and for filling in during the absence of the Hotel General Manager to maintain guest satisfaction and a quality stay.

Essential General operation Job Duties may include:
* Achieves budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability.
* Understands, endorses, teaches and enforces the Hotels Mission Statement, Vision Statement, philosophy, policies and procedures as laid out.
* Promotes consistently the Organization, its plans, programs and achievements to the public and employees at all times.
* Makes contributions as a member of the Hotels team, improves himself/herself, the Organization and its image in any way.
* Meets or exceeds high standards
* Exceeds a Customer expectation at all times in a creative fashion.
* Develops, gains approval of and implements objectives for his/her area of responsibility.
* Develops, gains of approval of and implements budgets for his/her area of responsibility.
* Participates in the orienting, training and development of personnel in his/her area of responsibility.
* Participates in the review and evaluation of the performance of personnel and recommends any needed pay changes.
* Supervises, directs and motivates the efforts of personnel as directed.
* Identifies the need for disciplinary action, and participates in disciplinary activities as needed.
* Increases the level of guest satisfaction by delivering an improved product through employee development, job engineering and high quality image.
* Monitors and maintains housekeeping functions when on duty.
* Monitors and maintains maintenance concerns when on duty.
* Performs floor management activities in a proactive fashion when on duty.
* Assures that room yield management attains the highest possible revenue per available room.
* Follows and updates procedures for credit control and handling of financial transactions.
* Maintains established Emergency Procedures and assures the safety and security of guests and monies.
* Maintains a safe working environment and assures the safety of employees.
* Receives department-related guest complaints and ensures corrective action is taken.
* Audits and monitors all Front Desk reports.
* Perform all required Manager on Duty activities involving maintaining housekeeping functions, monitoring maintenance concerns, and performing floor management activities in a proactive fashion.
* Supervise front desk and its employees.
* Perform related work as required.
* Prepare for events by setting up bar supplies, which includes checking listings regarding type of products & quantity, ensuring glasses, ice and mixers are set up, and checking with Banquet Supervisor/Coordinator regarding other specific instructions
* Serve beverages in a friendly and courteous manner using best customer relations practices.
* Maintain proper set-up and cleanliness of service area before, during and after shift.
* Order and maintain liquor and bar supplies.
* Maintain a clean, sanitized, and attractive work environment
* Perform related work as required.
