Job Information

The Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for import and export regulatory compliance for the Heavy Equipment business unit and will support the development and implementation of programs to ensure that import/export activities comply with U.S. customs and other applicable government laws and regulations.

Role & Responsibility

Coordinate Import and Export Compliance
  • Administer procedures to test compliance processes.
  • Conduct quarterly transaction testing/audits to ensure customs compliance.
  • Compose/update compliance procedures and manuals.
  • Coordination of training to both internal and external personnel on compliance requirements.
  • Product classification, maintaining record keeping management and maintenance of database for import and export Regulatory compliance.
  • Assist Sourcing in country of origin verification and documentation compliance on imported product.
  • Actively support and participate in cross-functional teams.


Coordinate Certificate of Origins
  • Coordination with all Suppliers on certification of origin declared to facilitate FTA and other trade needs.


Coordinate FTA
  • Coordination and release of FTAs


Job Requirement

  • Understanding of export & import regulations, trade policies, and other legal compliance regulations.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships across the company.
  • Ability to independently develop, lead, and drive projects.
  • Strong analytical background.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system strongly preferred
  • Fluency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Amber Road Global Trade Management System
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience: 7>10 years, 7+ years’ experience in import/export compliance field

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
