JOB SUMMARY

The Support Service Technician cleans all designated supply units; cleans all designated equipment; cleans and organizes environment for patients/customers/team members; restocks all patient/customer supply items; performs assigned daily tasks; performs personal cares; provides patient care; checks and updates physician procedure/ray/set books; maintains log of autoclave testing/autoclave graphs; prints preference list surgical team and pulls sutures; completes scheduling functions; participates in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicators and outcomes. Patients care for include infants, children, adolescents, adult and geriatric.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED :
Required:
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Certified by the North Dakota State Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant or
• Registration by North Dakota Board of Nursing as a Nurse Assistant or an Unlicensed Assistive Person.
• Those who have in the past never been licensed or certified as a Nurse Assistant or Unlicensed Assistive Person or a Certified Nurse Aide may obtain registration by the North Dakota Board of Nursing as an Unlicensed Assistive Person within the first four (4) months of employment by completion of a return demonstration.
• Successful completion of the functional assessment.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in a health care setting.
