Edgewood is looking for an Occupational Therapist to be part of Caring Edge, a brand new program within Edgewood Healthcare, who is passionate about helping others. Responsibilities:
  • Develop a written plan of care specific to each patient and implements therapy services based on that plan of care. 
  •  Initiates occupational therapy program and instructs other personnel in certain phases of occupational therapy with which they may work with a patient, as well as instructing them as to the goals of the occupational therapy program for the patient by participating in case conferences. 
  • Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals. 
  • Participates in peer consultation process. 
  • Supervises occupational therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations. 
  • Potential to function as the therapy director, based on experience, if applicable

 In this position you will help to develop a therapy program for home health, and will work primarily within the Edgewood community.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possesses a Masters in occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization. 
  • Licensed to practice as occupational therapist within the state. 
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. 
  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Compassionate with good communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
