Job Details

Position Description:
To provide administrative support to the chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Oversee and administer activities of the department's administrative office including support for student services; academic activities; front-line reception; shared communications for the department; shared office operations; and shared administrative support to the department chair for day-to-day activities.

This position develops, implements, and monitors procedures and systems that provide productive and efficient academic operations while ensuring the department is in compliance with associated university and college administrative policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with four year's of directly related work experience;
- Proficiency with data management and Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access;
- Front-line reception and phone etiquette and experience- Strong customer service skills;
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task;

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
- NDSU policies and procedures including FERPA requirements;
- Peoplesoft student, finance and HR modules
- Knowledge of higher education accounting and budgeting.
