Classroom Technologies Specialist

Position Description:
The individual in this position will:
- Work 12:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday;
- provide day-to-day operational technical support for the university learning spaces, including standard classroom technologies, advanced technologies, computer labs and student collaboration stations;
- assist in supporting videoconference classes, meetings and special events during the evening hours;
- consult with faculty, students and staff in the use of interactive and classroom technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 1+ year experience with demonstrated ability to support, analyze, diagnose and resolve A/V electronic equipment (i.e., videoconferencing, multimedia equipment, A/V equipment)
- 2+ years relevant customer service experience
- Computer hardware/software troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in electronics or IT-related field
- Experience working in higher education
- Experience with audio sound systems or public address systems
- Experience troubleshooting A/V system components
- Familiarity with Crestron control programming
- Experience with video conference technology
- Experience working with cables/wiring

Physical Demands:
Frequently lift equipment up to 25 lbs.
Use ladder of a height up to 20 ft.
