ABOUT THIS OPPURTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our high paced, multi-modality accredited lab (TTE, TEE, Stress, and Pediatric Echo). We offer multiple opportunities in advanced echocardiography including the structural heart program (TAVR and mitral clip), 3D imaging, and strain imaging. We also offer the opportunity in our Pediatric Echo lab where we work hand-in-hand with our three Pediatric Cardiologists in complex congenital heart defect cases using TTE and Fetal Echo technologies.

JOB SUMMARY

Perform echocardiography tests/procedures in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for performing cardiac ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner. Thoroughly understands the operation of the ultrasound machine and utilizes new sonographic technologies. Interacts professionally and effectively with fellow health care professionals. Observes, evaluates and participates in the educational processes of the sonography student. Adheres to safety and infection control policies established by Sanford. Works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status and practices patient confidentiality at all times. Works with a diverse population of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or eligible for registry. If eligible for registry, applicant must obtain registration within one year of hire date. Employees who provide outreach mobile services must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record. If working in ND and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, must be licensed through the ND MIRT Board of Examiners. Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year Cardiac Ultrasound Program or have equivalent work experience. Must have knowledge or principles and practices of edchocardiography. Registered Cardiac Sonographer is desirable.
