Essential Functions:

  • Review reports, asbuilt drawings, blueprints, testing reports, and soil compaction results.
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, specifications, plan creation, and permit applications.
  • Effectively use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design various project features.
  • Interface with CAD designers and coordinate with other engineering departments on complex multi-discipline projects.
  • Assist project manager in the development of construction cost estimates.  
  • Collaborate with team members including engineers, technicians, surveyors, administrative staff and subcontractors.
  • Assist in client contact and communications.
  • Attend project status and client meetings (days and nights).
  • May include onsite construction observation duties.

Requirements:     

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with water resources emphasis.
  • 0-4 years experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with design team and clients.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid communication and critical thinking skills, along with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude under pressure, strong team player, responsible and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License and in good standing with periodic travel necessary.
