Responsibilities

The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
    • Work with hiring managers and Human Resource Director on workforce planning forecasts and recruitment strategies.
    • Oversees and manages the Think Big program's coordination, promotion, and execution
    • Work closely with the Training and Development Manager in regards to the needs for the Think Big Technician programs at North Dakota State College of Science and Lake Area Technical Institute. Will actively recruit for these positions.
    • Assists in developing and implementing the campus recruiting and talent pipeline strategy
    • Functions as the liaison and representative of Butler Machinery (BMC) and attends career fairs at colleges and high schools, attend student group meetings, and works to increase college and high school awareness of Butler Machinery
    • Responsible for overall recruitment and staffing strategies for General Technician Positions
    • Assist with posting openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
    • Utilize the Internet for recruitment. Work closely with the vendor of BMC's applicant tracking software. Make recommendations for workflow improvements.
    • Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training required. Three years of recruiting experience required. General Human Resource experience and training preferred.
    • Experience with technical recruiting a plus.
    • Position will require extensive travel. Must have a clean driving record and be found insurable to drive a company vehicle.
    Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
