Overview

Titan Machinery operates one of the largest networks of full service agricultural and construction equipment stores in North America. We operate over 75 stores across North America and Europe. The purpose of the Parts Manger is to manage the Parts Department and drives parts sales to meet or exceed store objectives, and ensure an excellent customer experience. This role is responsible for effectively supervising parts department employees to ensure work is performed in a professional and safe manner, and that all necessary administration is handled promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and manage the various key metrics within the department as they relate to the plans of the store and company initiatives to meet or exceed financial goals and store performance expectations, i.e. Budgeted Sales, Budgeted Gross Margin, gross margin percentages, outside purchases, parts obsolescence, surplus, etc.
  • Be the subject matter expert regarding the specific customer base and products within the store's trade area.
  • Ensure that parts counter is staffed effectively to facilitate the point of sale process, and keep customer service at a very high level. This would include the development of selling skills through on-the-job training.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction for all customer interactions with the parts department, including customer parts inquiries, resolving customer complaints/issues, and placing emergency parts orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the marketing and merchandising of the parts department to maximize the revenues of the department, and the upkeep and overall appearance of the parts department
  • Develop sales plans in accordance with Store and Company initiatives.
  • Build relationships with customers by traveling to customer locations and proactively fostering customer service
  • Recruit, hire, and retain an effective workforce for the parts department, including ongoing training and development for all parts department employees.
  • Review stock orders created by Region Parts Inventory Manager.
  • Responsible for accuracy of Parts Inventory, including but not limited to, Cycle Counts and all necessary Inventory Adjustments.
  • Achieve manufacturer dealer standards, and develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with manufacturer partners.
  • Manage Open Counter Tickets to appropriate levels and be familiar with Accounts Receivable and payment options and minimize credit risks.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and ensure that all department employees understand and follow all safety policies and procedures. Be a role model in the areas of environmental health and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including but not limited to: Equipment Sales Consultants, Service Manager, and the Area Product Support Manager to ensure that the store runs efficiently and effectively and that we are continuously exceeding customer expectations.
  • Complete all administrative work associated with the parts department, including work orders, daily parts ordering, and manufacturer returns, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient completion of all paperwork associated with the parts department.
  • Work with the Area/Region Manager to ensure the store follows all policies and procedures as defined in the SOP Manual and other policy, process and procedure documents.
  • Responsible for working with the store to ensure that the store is SOX compliant.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:
  • 3 plus years of work experience in related parts and operations
  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time and work flexible hours

Physical Requirements

Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
