Eventide Heartland, Devils Lake ND

Two positions:
  1. Full-time (36-hours per week).  12-hour overnight shift (6:o0 PM - 6:30 AM).  Every other weekend every other holiday rotation required.
  2. Part-time (24-32 hours per week).  12-hour day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or a combination of 12-hour and 8-hour (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) shifts.

On-site childcare available from 5:30 AM - 11:00 PM 7-days a week.  Childcare available after working an overnight shift for recovery hours.

On site employee wellness center open 24-hours.

Provides and assures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided and that it is consistent with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide

Requirements:

North Dakota RN or LPN License.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Monitors tenants' needs and health status through physical observations and interviews on a continuing basis.
  • Observes and follows the tenants' plan of care. Assists the RN in making appropriate changes in plans of care whenever necessary.
  • Monitors medications and treatments for effectiveness. Administers medications and treatments when necessary.
  • Provides direct nursing care to tenants when necessary and according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Comply with rules and regulations as set forth by the State Department of Health.
  • Provides accurate documentation in the tenants' records according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assists in orientation/training of new team members.
  • Reports tenant needs, problems, and observations regarding tenants' condition to the registered nurse and physician.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift.
  • Monitors the activities and functions of subordinate staff, which may include participating in the disciplinary process.
  • Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides information, education, and support for assigned tenants and their families.
  • Communicates the needs of tenants to Homecare staff in the building.
  • Interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the tenants.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs and staff meetings.
  • In accordance with the team philosophy and Eventide's commitment for all staff to provide quality care, the person filling this position may be occasionally required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description.
