POSITION: Staff Educator/Infection Control Coordinator  

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time  

SHIFT: Days

DESCRIPTION

The Staff Educator/Infection Control Coordinator evaluates organization needs, developing and directing programs for staff training and development. Duties include maintaining the facility wide online learning system, preparing training materials, visual aides, and lesson plans, scheduling classes and conducting presentations. The Staff Educator/Infection Control Coordinator works closely with all departments, including Risk Management, and Quality Improvement to develop specific department education as needed.

This position is also responsible for the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control associated with HAI's among patients, residents and personnel.

Predominately day shift, though some flexibility may be required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of a 2 year degree from an accredited institution in a health related field

BLS Instructor certification or the ablility to be certified within two years

ACLS, TNCC and PALS certification or the ability to be certified within two years

Qualifications also include strong command of grammar, public speaking and interpersonal communication skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. A copy of the full job description is available in Human Resources.
