Supply Chain Finance Specialist at LM Wind Power a GE Renewable Energy Business

The purpose of this position is to provide strategic and financial support to the LM Wind Power Supply Chain operations team in the Grand Forks, ND manufacturing plant. With the plant manager and operating team, you will develop and execute strategic financial manufacturing & sourcing objectives and drive optimized cost/profitability of the company’s products as you deliver on growth and synergy commitments for the LM Wind Power business.  This position is to be based out of the Grand Forks, North Dakota production facility.

Main mission of the role

  • Provide direct support and leadership to plant management for all manufacturing financial information.
  • Lead factory transformation and growth by meeting the manufacturing target and operating budget
  • Implement plant operating metrics (KPI’s) such as % Direct Labor, productivity, inventory, cash
  • Direct materials consumption analysis & reporting
  • Track actual manufacturing hours vs. plan, variance analysis and corrective action
  • Lead site variable & base cost out actions and drive financial accountability for cost
  • Work with Controller to perform quarterly closing activities
  • Take the lead in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) from finance perspective for factory efficiency
  • Drive and validate sourcing initiatives to meet working capital, inventory and cash commits
  • Inventory movement, scrap, & indirect expense analysis & reporting
  • CAPEX planning, reporting, tracking
  • Maintenance of standard costs of direct materials & product
  • As a Plant leader, participate in and contribute to plant management meetings
  • Obsolete & slow-moving inventory analysis & reporting
  • Responsible for the oversight of the physical inventory process
  • Support process standardization
  • Support financial reporting
  • Support budget process

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of two to seven years of experience in supply chain finance leadership position or five to ten years in other Finance/FP&A positions
  • Experience with manufacturing operations and financial function preferred
  • Skilled in leadership of teams and managing priorities to a successful outcome
  • Strong track record of developing & measuring production & supply chain commitments.
  • Experience in building a culture of transparency, speed and collaboration
  • Connects with people, empathetic, listens
  • Creative problem solver, passion for delivering on commitments
  • Embraces new technology and simplification to drive productivity and speed
  • Boundary less...originates ideas which influence others to change
  • Intercultural skills and abilities for managing worldwide interfaces to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, commercial organizations, supply chain and project management
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting Salary will depend upon the experience of the candidate.  This position is included within the company’s Lead Professional Band and includes bonus potential.
