The Community Integration Trainer completes community integration activities for students 16 and over who attend school at the Anne Carlsen Center. This position provides educational opportunities using a functional curriculum; and act as a liaison for the Anne Carlsen Center and the employment/vocational training partners within the community. The community integration trainer is responsible to plan, organize and implement an appropriate work experience program, make decisions regarding volunteer job placements and follow specific guidelines in accordance to the ND Department of Public Instruction.

- An associate degree in an educational or developmental disabilities related field is preferred. The incumbent must have at least two years of experience in working with individuals with physical, developmental, or psychosocial disabilities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- The individual needs to be knowledgeable in areas of developmental disabilities, assistive technology and computers, possess good organizational and planning abilities, and have the ability to communicate effectively with persons served, staff, and employers in the community.
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of Windows environment Intranet and Internet technology along with the North Dakota Tie Net system.
