Hiring Department:  Athletics - Women's Golf Program

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification:  $42,000-$45,000/annual, Full-time, Benefited, Exempt  (Courtesy Vehicle provided)
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, long term care insurance, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans. 
Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, includes evenings, weekends, holidays

The University of North Dakota is seeking applicants for the women’s golf coach.  This position will develop, promote, and supervise all facets of the University’s women’s golf program. 
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • coaching,
  • recruiting,
  • budget management and maximization,  
  • practice/game management,
  • academic monitoring of student-athletes in program
  • social media supervision of student-athletes,
  • public relations (regularly scheduled media & speaking engagements) and fundraising.
  • maintain contact with golf alumni and boosters and fans via social media and electronic correspondence
  • serve as a spokesperson for the University’s golf program and market and promote the women’s golf program
  • develop community support for the program via social media and marketing and promotional actions
  • participate in Athletics department and fundraising activities.
  • ensuring a complaint program operation within the UND, NCAA and Conference framework

 
Required Competencies:

  • Must have an effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni and general public.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop a competitive NCAA division I program.
  • Must have a commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations. 
  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes.

Minimum Requirements
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience with golf coaching and/or college recruiting OR previous collegiate golf experience as a student-athlete
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a collegiate golf coach
