DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

    Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include…

    Smile and Greet
    Take Care of Needs
    Anticipate, Ask and Act
    Remember to Thank and Close

    Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.

Supervises the gaming activities on assigned games ensuring policies and procedures are followed to enhance the integrity of the game.

    Ensures dealers are verbalizing their game during play.
    Ensures dealers are proficient in the handling of cards, chips and money in an accurate manner.
    Inspects all buy-ins and payouts for accuracy.
    Enters accurate information into Table Trac.

Responsible for game protection of assigned tables to protect the assets of Shooting Star Casino.

    Informs the Pit Boss of any problems or suspicious activities on the tables.
    Ensures dealers are clearing their hands properly before going to their body or when they are leaving the table.
    Performs player run-downs in an accurate manner.

Inspects all bankrolls on assigned tables to ensure they are filled to acceptable levels.

    Verifies all fills and credits for accuracy.
    Checks fills and credit slips for proper signatures.
    Ensures dealers are breaking down chips properly so surveillance can verify them.

Listens and responds to guest concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

    Refers guest to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
    Resolves any disagreements between customers and dealers, notify Pit Boss as soon as possible.
    Assist guests on the rules of play.
 
Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

No minimum education required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses & Designations

    Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for gaming.
    Blackjack Dealer License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Knowledge of and ability to apply Internal Gaming Controls
    Knowledge of all Class II games.
    Knowledge of promotional programs offered by the Casino at any given time.
    Knowledge of the Casinos products and services.
    Knowledge of Poker procedures, policy, terminology and rank of hands.
    Skill in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
    Skill of developing and maintaining positive relationships with external and internal customers.
    Skill of determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest service.
    Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure guest expectations are met.
    Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as gaming controls and procedure manuals, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
    Ability to follow procedures and give detail to attention.
    Ability to frequently stand for moderate periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS

    Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise level.
    Continuous exposure to high concentration levels of tobacco smoke.
    Minimal exposure to blood borne pathogens.

  • *Shift differential of additional $1.25/hr for swing and night shift and an additional weekend differential of $1.25/hr. Requirements based on position. Available for hours worked after a team member completes their 90-day probationary time frame.
