If you love caring for kids, we have the perfect opportunity at our Wahpeton Clinic! Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a Pediatric advanced practice provider to assume a patient panel while increasing access to patients and their families. Our patient-centered care team is quality-focused and service-oriented while working in collaboration with one another. The Wahpeton team consists of 1-Family Medicine, 1-Internal Medicine, 5-Advanced Practice Clinicians, 2-General Surgeons, 1-Optometrist and 1-LICSW (along with a number of outreach specialists coming weekly/bi-weekly) in a recently remodeled clinic that also offers an Ambulatory Surgery Center on-site.
- 1.0 FTE, full-time status (36 patient contact hours; 4 hours professional time per week)
- Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm
- Opportunity to build extensive pediatric practice while absorbing current patients due to upcoming retirement
- 12-16 patients per day
- Outreach to Hankinson Clinic on a weekly basis
- Prefer trained/experienced in Pediatrics!
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- Training/experience specific to Pediatrics preferred!
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
