JOB SUMMARY

Administers roentgen rays in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as requested by attending physicians. Under the direction of leadership the intern operates radiation-producing equipment while utilizing proper radiation protection principles. Must be able to interact effectively with patients and their family members, physicians, health care workers, and department personnel. Possess the skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in all areas of diagnostic radiography. Demonstrate accuracy by periodic proficiency examinations performed under supervision. Sensitivity and patient confidentiality must be practiced at all times. On a continuum, works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status. Works with all age groups. Must have knowledge of (CR) Computed Radiology, (DR) Digital Radiology and (PACS) Picture Archiving and Communication System.

QUALIFICATIONS

None required at this time. High School diploma or its equivalency. Attending accredited radiology program.
