Thrive Behavioral Network is hiring a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) for Alexandria, MN to deliver programming and treatment, coordinating with staff and clients, and carry out the daily treatment program of the Co-Occurring Residential programs.

These positions are full-time, working Monday thru Friday working days to provide extended resources to our clients. In addition, the LADC may have some on-call responsibilities. Required to be a licensed drug and alcohol counselor.

Thrive has 27 programs throughout Minnesota, offering the following social and health care services: Adult Foster Care, Crisis Services, Residential Mental Health Services, Residential Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders and Outpatient Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders.

Responsibilities and Duties
Some examples of duties include;

Delivery of all residential and/or outpatient individual and group treatment programming. Including, but not limited to:
Documentation as to competencies in designing individualized treatment plans based on the needs of each client
Conducting an assessment interview and listing the client's specific strengths and problems related to chemical use, physical and emotional functioning, and family and other cultural issues
Implementing individualized treatment plans utilizing internal or external programs services including vocational, education, spiritual, family, financial, recreational, mental, chemical, and physical health
Maintaining client record keeping systems
Developing evaluated outcome criteria for each problem area identified in the individualized treatment plan
Identifying the variety of chemical use problems that exist in the community to be served by the program:
Pharmacological and behavioral effects of various chemicals
Age and cultural aspects
Short and long-term treatment implementation
Responsible for all aspects of treatment, planning and coordination of treatment for individual case load of up to 20 people
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with agency personnel, county and state officials and the general public
Upholds quality assurances and best practices through delivery and communication of internal policies and procedures and the Rule 31 Variance
Presenting the program and organization to the public in a positive and supportive manner
Performs related work as required

Qualifications and Skills
To be qualified as a LADC you must be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), with a valid license to practice in the State of Minnesota. ADC-Ts may also be considered.
