Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification: $45,000, 1 year/Temporary, Full-Time, Benefited, Exempt, This position is for 1 year and will start August 16, 2018. The position may become a regular position in the future. 
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, long term care insurance, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.  
Work Schedule:  Monday- Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, occasional weekends

The Manager and Curator of the UND Art Collections position is multi-faceted. This position is for 1 year and will start August 16, 2018. The successful candidate will provide oversight for art works owned and exhibited by the University and a number of affiliated organizations, including assisting the UND Foundation in the management and use of its art collection. The UND Art Collection’s mission is facilitating the use of University art for education, research, community, and cultural enrichment in furtherance of the UND Strategic Plan. This position is responsible for the operation, and organization associated with the UND Art Collection.


Required Competencies

  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time. 
  • Proven attention to detail and consistency in work productivity.
  • Self-motivated and successful in working independently to achieve desired outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Art, Design, or related field
  • Experience in art inventory archival practices, including research and preparation.
  • Experience in curating art exhibitions.
  • Successful completion of criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with event planning.
  • Supervisory experience.
