Edgewood is looking for a Director of Nursing to be part of Caring Edge, a new program within Edgewood Healthcare. In this position you are responsible for overall direction of Home Health and Hospice clinical services. You will implement and evaluate goals and objectives for home health and hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

In this position you are responsible for overall direction of Home Health and Hospice clinical services. You will implement and evaluate goals and objectives for home health and hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine home care needs.
- Provides a complete physical assessment and history of current and past illness.
- Coordinates appropriate care planning with patient and family.
- Continuously works toward discharge planning needs and goals with patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
- Effectively communicates patient and family needs to interdisciplinary team.
- Coordinates staffing and supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
- Three years of supervisory experience in a home health/hospice or related healthcare organization preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/ or organization requirements and is in good working order
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR certification
- Participation in on-call duties
