Job Information

Apply quality assurance principles to develop, implement and maintain the processes and systems needed to detect and prevent product defects.

Role & Responsibility

Essential Functions:
  • Inspect and report on materials, services, processes, and products using measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards
  • Verifies that parts and assemblies conform to specifications
  • Participate as an auditor in the internal auditing program for manufacturing processes and systems
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming material and process deficiencies to appropriate departments, and perform corrective action and follow-up
  • Participate in problem-solving teams, and report on corrective and preventive action plans
  • Documents and maintains paper and electronic quality records for testing and inspection
  • Assist in statistical studies and analysis
  • Assist in training of shop floor and quality department personnel
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently with limited direction
  • Capable of interfacing with various department organizational levels
  • Basic knowledge of quality terms, definitions and concepts
  • Basic Computer skills
  • GD&T or blueprint reading knowledge
  • Familiarity with measurement of production processes and basic gaging equipment such as calipers and micrometers
  • Metrology experience preferred (CMM or FARO)
  • ISO 9001 auditing experience preferred
  • Experience with calibration systems preferred

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
