Job Summary: 

The College of St. Scholastica seeks applications for a faculty position in the Department of Graduate Nursing. This is a part-time (50%) 9-month position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications. Qualified candidate will teach DNP students through the lens of the Benedictine Values. The Doctor of Nursing Practice is offered as a post-master’s option for current advanced practice nurses, and a BS to DNP option for baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses. The School of Nursing programs respond to the health care needs of both rural and urban areas, especially underserved populations, and residents with mental health needs. This position may be located on either our Duluth or St. Cloud campus.

Key Results/Responsibilities: 

The Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing will teach, mentor, and provide program and project advisement to DNP students; work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines; maintain active involvement in state and national professional organizations; collaborate with Graduate Nursing faculty to participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of College diversity; and perform scholarly activity including teaching, revision and development of courses as well as service including duties on College committees.

Required Qualifications: 

Doctoral degree in Nursing; certification as a nurse practitioner in family care, psych/mental health care OR adult-gerontology care; eligibility for RN and APRNlicensure in Wisconsin and Minnesota; and demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency and experience interacting effectively with diverse students, faculty and staff.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Nurse practitioner experience in family care, psych/mental health care OR adult-gerontology care.
