JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting with all new construction and remodeling projects for Sanford facilities. Responsible for assisting in project design, estimating, project management, cost accounting and code compliance. Oversees construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to. Supervises construction, building equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will work for the Profile by Sanford New Store Development Team to manage the design and construction of new and remodeled store buildouts. The position will be responsible for overseeing the design process of the buildouts and reviewing architectural drawings making sure they comply with Profile by Sanford design standards and code compliance with City, State, IBC and NFPA. Also will work closely with the real estate team to review leases and provide feedback on new store locations and tenant work letters. Will be responsible for all phases of construction including but not limited to assembling and issuing invitations to bid to general contractors, analyzing bids and preparing a bid tabulation for presentation, putting together and maintaining a schedule, monitoring construction progress and reassuring the contractor is adhering to the schedule, distributing construction progress reports, performing a close-out inspection and punch list, processing draw requests, and gathering all close out documents. This position will also require the use of AutoCAD to assist with conceptual store layouts and small remodels. Will work closely with Profile by Sanford vendors and materials suppliers to schedule delivery and install of materials. Some travel will be required to review progress and to perform the construction close-out inspections.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the Profile by Sanford New Store Development Team to review design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures. Will be reviewing contractor, and architectural drawings for code compliance involving City, State, IBC and NFPA. Responsibilities for maintaining compliance with safety, asbestos and other applicable policies will also be required. This position will require a familiarity with electrical/mechanical system to supervise construction of installations. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. This position will require the use of AutoCAD to layout and design floor plans. Will need to review and select building materials with vendors. Some travel will be required to review progress and to perform the construction close-out inspections. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. Two or more years previous experience required with preferred retail construction experience. Must have a strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and mechanical, electrical, and HVAC building systems. Must have the ability to create, maintain, and manage schedules and critical timelines. Must have excellent communication skills and experience interacting with architects, contractors, and vendors. Must have good computer skills and must be proficient in AutoCAD.
