Job Details
The Bemidji Pioneer, a six-day, daily newspaper in Bemidji, Minn., is seeking qualified candidates for part-time sports clerk for the academic year.
This position will assist the Pioneer sports department in nightly production of Pioneer sports pages. The sports clerk position will be responsible for covering various high school and Bemidji State events, as well as preview and feature stories. Candidate also may take phone calls and compile box scores from various events and write roundups on games involving local teams that are not covered.
Hours will be be 20 hours-plus a week. This job includes nights and weekend work.
Position requirements:
- Basic knowledge of computer programs as well as social media.
- Must be able to mutli-talk in a faced past environment.
- Strong organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent communications skills.
