Job Title: Systems/DevOps Engineer Department: IT
Position Objective:

Primary Responsibilities:


• IT generalist capable of contributing to needs in development, testing, operations, security, and performance

• Work closely with development, testing, and operations to help ensure end-to-end quality and robustness of IT systems

• Automate system builds, deployments, and testing

• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging tools
• Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for development, test, and production environments.

• Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery systems

• Recommend and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments and team members

• Support and contribute to department and company metrics
• Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture


General Responsibilities:

• Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
• Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members

• Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, IT or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience with continuous integration, configuration management, infrastructure automation, and/or build tools
• Experience with system logging and metrics frameworks
• Familiarity with version control systems

• Experience with scripting languages
• Technical experience supporting core business applications

• Knowledge of software development processes
• Ability to learn new technologies

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
• Technical training skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products

• Self-starter, creative and problem solver
• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Ability to travel as required
