We are currently searching for candidates who are looking to advance their career with an innovation-driven company in the following role:

Research & Development Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Demonstrate Good Laboratory Practice knowledge
  •  Perform analytical testing with accuracy and precision; prepare reagents and/or solutions, etc according to laboratory procedures
  •  Accurately and precisely conduct analyses of test results; keep accurate records and data for projects
  •  Support trial activities including preparation and set-up, support documentation of trial results, and testing.
  •  Maintain R&D instruments and equipment to ensure availability (liaison for calibrations) and be a training resource for associates
  •  Conduct statistically based correlation studies between suppliers and reference laboratories (eg. Between CoA for resins, mats, acrylics and our internal tests) as determined by R&D leadership and support some level of specification reviews.
  •  Resolve and (re)write improvements to methods
  •  Support Quality team initiatives as determined by R&D leadership
  •  Maintain chemical storage and inventory in accordance with laboratory safety guidelines (Program) and support R&D audits in accordance to audit schedule. Inventory maintenance includes discarding expired reagents and notification of the appropriate supervisor or designated individual and maintaining Material Approval Request’s (MAR).
  •  Support maintenance of work stations and chemical waste management
  • Participate in and complete company required safety and training programs.
  •  Work individually and on teams.

Education & Experience:

  •  Relevant Manufacturing and/or lab experience highly desirable; Associates degree preferred.
  •  Have working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices
  •  Math skills and basic knowledge of statistics
  •  Working knowledge of analytical methods and a manufacturing environment
  •  Must have strong level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, speficically Excel.
  •  Ability to read instrument/equipment manuals and establish operating guidelines
  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  Capable of safely lifting/moving heavy objects when required (25-50 lbs)
