Senior Programs Director needed for Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. in Crookston, MN

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, and in line with Tri-Valley's philosophy, mission and goals, the Senior Programs Director has primary responsibility to maintain and enhance the programs sponsored by agency as they relate to service to senior citizens and to directly manage the Foster Grandparent and Caring Companion Programs. The Director of Senior Programs ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Senior Programs Department. High-stressed position requiring successful oversight and management of multiple demands and deadlines, making sound decisions that can have significant consequences affecting program operations, legal liability, and Tri-Valley employees. As a member of the Tri-Valley Management Team, ensures transparent communication and collaboration with others to reach sound business decisions that support optimal program services, work environment, and stewards of program funding.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or four years equivalent experience in Business Administration, Management, Gerontology, or related human service field.
2. Three years of increasing levels of responsibilities in the areas of program design, development, management and supervision.
3. Three years of experience supervising others.
4. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
5. Three years of experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; email and internet.
6. One year experience in researching funding sources.
7. One year grant writing experience.
8. Two years of experience preparing proposals and understanding of contractual language. May be asked to provide samples.
9. Two years of experience creating and managing budgets.
10. One year experience in marketing, public relations, public speaking or training in a group setting.
11. Proof of valid driver's license and current/adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
