Description

The Dining Services Director directs the department mission of providing a nutritious and pleasant dining experience to residents, staff, families, volunteers, and visitors through the preparation and distribution of quality food; monitors and maintains compliance with all proper sanitation procedures for preparation and storage of food and cleanliness of equipment and facilities; maintains appropriate inventory of food and supplies; and facilitates good relations between departments through effective supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of food handler’s certificate and/or Serv-Safe certificate as applicable by state.
  • CDM (certified dietary manager) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years work experience with supervisory duties in a similar setting desirable.
  • On-going and/or continuing education will be provided. This will be outlined upon hire by the specific department. (E.g. safe food handling, garnishes, what’s new with nutrition, etc.)
