JOB SUMMARY

Works to enhance the patient and family experience. Develops and supports appropriate databases to track and trend patient feedback. The Patient Experience Specialist collects, interprets and reports patient satisfaction data. Ability to identify problems, resolve conflict and administer appropriate service recovery programs. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of constituents, including patients, family, physicians, and hospital leaders. Facilitates and coordinates processes and projects at the enterprise, regional and departmental level. Ability to present educational sessions and presentations for large or small groups on customer service and service recovery principles. Ability to chair a committee or improvement team or lead a project. Ability to multitask at various effort levels. Serves as the stakeholder champion for setting and facilitating the growth of the organization's service. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a large number of projects simultaneously.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Answers basic patient or provider questions and refers complex inquiries to appropriate specialists. Generates and interprets a wide range of statistical data and reports. Uses key tools, systems and processes to support business insurance operations. Distributes internal and external correspondence to appropriate recipients. Analyzes data regarding customer likes and dislikes about a given product or service. Participates in the improvement of a specific aspect of the customer experience. Gathers data related to customers' experiences with the organizations products and services.

Current licensure as appropriate to position in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
