POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Production Assistant Coordinator, assists with local, regional, international and world-class entertainment acts of the casino. In all interactions, the position is responsible for making STAR service to guests and fellow team members a first priority.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

  • Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
  • Assists incoming acts with carrying in, setting up, taking equipment down after show and packing up again.
  • Make basic repairs to equipment and identifying malfunctioning equipment in production area.
  • Assists with all areas of the production stage such as audio, lighting and monitors. Operates House audio console, stage monitor console, and lighting console and related outboard equipment. Also operates spotlights when needed.
  • Helps prepare all equipment before scheduled show start time. Sets up required monitor mixes for shows.
  • Works closely with production crew of artist to assist with any area as needed.
  • Sets up and monitors lounge entertainment.
  • Sets up sound systems for special events as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school. Or minimum of one year related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses & Designations

Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by Tribal State Compact for Gaming.

No other specific certificates or licenses are required for this position.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge – Must have an in depth understanding and functional working knowledge of electrical representation of sound, basic purpose and conceptual models of audio systems, including: octave relationships, frequency responses, electronic circuits, cables, microphones, wireless microphones, loudspeakers, voice and instrument ranges, speaking voice, singing voice, harmonics and effects of acoustical factors.
  • Must have the ability to apply working knowledge of decibels, sound levels and related items, and relating decibels to acoustic levels, sound pressure level, volume, level, gain, loudness and these dynamic ranges within the framework and parameters required and the entertainers performing in the venue. Must understand SPL estimations, connections, polarity, operation of crossovers, choice of crossover frequencies and room equalization. Must be knowledge of the equipment in the production area.  
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpretan extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  
  • Ability to occasionally stand for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours)
  • Ability to occasionally sit for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  •  Ability to walk for moderate periods of time.
  • Ability to twist, stoop, bend, and squat.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders, stairs and walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally reach above shoulder height.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Minimal work done with machinery involving moving parts.
  • Minimal risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasional exposure to moderate concentration levels of tobacco smoke.

  • *Shift differential of additional $1.25/hr for swing and night shift and an additional weekend differential of $1.25/hr. Requirements based on position. Available for hours worked after a team member completes their 90-day probationary time frame.
